For the Love of Garlic: How to Grow Bigger and Better Garlic

Calling all garlic lovers! If you want to grow your own garlic (or grow bigger and healthier garlic), this is the class for you! This class will be taught by Meredith Coffin, a large-scale garlic farmer from Freedom Maine, and a popular speaker at the Common Ground Fair.

In this class you will learn about the varieties of garlic that grow best in Maine, how to prepare the soil, care for your plants, when to harvest and how to cure the bulbs.

You will have an opportunity to taste different varieties of garlic and will take home seed garlic ready for planting.

Meredith will also share some of her favorite ways of eating garlic and best ways to maximize the shelf life of your garlic.
