SUPPORT US
MFBEC is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that relies on community support to deliver free, high-impact services to the small farmers, fishermen, and food producers who form the backbone of Maine’s food economy.
With 96% of Maine farms family-run and over 40% earning less than $2,500 annually, these producers often lack the resources to market themselves or connect with the public, yet they are vital to our local economy, culture, and environment.
Your support makes it possible for us to provide free marketing, storytelling, educational programming, and public outreach that help these producers thrive.
There are many ways to get involved
Become a member, make a one-time or recurring donation, volunteer your time, sponsor a class or event, offer a corporate sponsorship, or fund a specific project through a grant or foundation...however you choose to give, your support helps us build a stronger, more resilient Maine food system for everyone.

Maine Food and Beverage Education Center

Contribute to our general fund

Contributions to our General Fund give us the most flexibility to direct dollars where they are needed most - compensating class instructors fairly for their time and expertise, improving our physical campus in Wiscasset to better support our stakeholders and our efforts, ongoing operational costs, supporting and contributing to other organizations' efforts to lift up Maine food and beverage producers, and much more.
Every dollar makes a difference and we thank you sincerely for considering a contribution to the Maine Food and Beverage Education Center!
