The Maine Night Market
An evening of feasting, shopping and learning with the makers behind Maine's diverse flavors
Saturday, August 22, 2026 | 5 - 9 PM
The Maine Night Market is a free, annual community celebration at Maine Tasting Center in Wiscasset, bringing together makers, food vendors, and community members for an evening of food, culture, and connection. The market celebrates the incredibly diverse cultural backgrounds of Maine's food makers, a reminder that the flavors of Maine come from all over the world, and that our food community is richer for it.
Admission is always free, and keeping it that way matters to us. As a small nonprofit, free community events like the Night Market take significant resources to pull off, and we rely on the generosity of our community to make them possible year after year. If you're able, please consider making a donation in support of Maine Food & Beverage Education Center. Every contribution helps keep events like this free and accessible for everyone. Suggested donation: $5/person. Thank you for being part of it! 💚

InCLEMENT WEATHER
This event is rain or shine! The forecast is looking a little gloomy, so be sure to wear appropriate footwear and pack an umbrella or raincoat. In the event of rain, the ShinDaiko performance will be moved inside the Discovery Center, but vendor tents will remain outside.
In the event of dangerous weather (e.g. lightning), vendors will pack up early. According to the current forecast (as of 11am on 8/21), it looks like that could mean the event end time is moved up to 8:30pm. Please keep an eye on this page and the event Facebook page for up-to-date weather-related announcements!
Audience
The Maine Night Market is fun for the whole family and all ages are welcome!
Please leave dogs (except for Service Animals) at home for this particular event.
PARKING & Accessibility
Onsite parking is free! Thanks to the generosity of our parking sponsor, Norm's Used Cars, event parking will be plentiful and available in the field directly adjacent to our campus. A limited number of accessible spaces are available in the paved lot on our campus - please follow directions from our parking attendants when you arrive. Please note that it's a field - you will have to walk through grass to get from your car to the event, so please plan appropriate footwear.
All buildings on our campus are ADA compliant. Paved paths exist between buildings and buildings with stairs also have ramp access. Please note that vendors will be set up on the front lawn, on the grass, in an area that is level but without paved paths. The ShinDaiko performance will take place on the front lawn as well, but will be visible from the deck connected to the Tasting Room.
