The Scone Goddess

Setting aside a busy career in business, founder of The Scone Goddess in Northport, Veronica Stubbs, moved to Midcoast Maine in search of a more balanced life. An avid baker, she began making fresh baked scones and her own custom scone mixes at local farmers’ markets. However, the pandemic soon hit in 2020, forcing her to stop selling fresh scones directly to the community. Ever the innovator, Veronica tweaked her recipe for her mixes and developed an almost impossibly simple mix that only requires you add cream to bake! Online sales soon exploded and Veronica very quickly had to expand production. More staff, new flavors, and eventually, in 2021 once in-person options became available again, the cafe and bakery in Northport where you can drop by to try the scones hot from the oven alongside a variety of delicious local goodies!
