Kate's Butter
Come home to Kate’s: the honest taste of Maine-made butter as nature intended, pure and simple.

Most foods can be improved by adding butter, so it only makes sense that adding Kate’s makes most things better! Founded by the Patry family in 1981, it only makes sense that they would go on to create one of Maine’s largest butter churning operations. Founder Daniel Patry grew up helping churn butter starting at the age of 13, had a previous career as an Oakhurst Dairy salesman, and eventually learned the family’s secret butter recipe from his uncle, Roland Hemond. And it’s high-quality stuff too, having won 1st place in the unsalted butter category at the World Dairy Expo in Madison, WI in 2008 and 3rd in both salted and unsalted categories in 2010. And just this year, Delish writer, Taylor Ann Spencer, rated it her favorite all-around butter after trying 16 different brands! These rave reviews are a result of Kate’s dedication to using the best quality ingredients; grade A, additive-free, pasteurized cream from local cows, real sea salt, and foil wrapping (which is less permeable, but DON’T put the wrapped sticks in the microwave!!).
These days, Kate’s has expanded operations to the point that you can find their butter (and the Patry family’s niece, the baby depicted on the packages) at most New England supermarket chains. So come home to Kate’s - a better New England butter!
