Bath Ale Works

The story of Bath Ale Works begins with founder Pepper Powers, an adept homebrewer and literal rocket scientist working at NASA on over 100 space shuttle missions and the International Space Station! Originally from Maryland, in 2015 his son called him up and told him that the name “Bath Ale Works” (in reference to Bath Iron Works) was still unclaimed as a brewery. The idea took root, and Pepper eventually retired and relocated his wife, Jean, and the rest of the family to Maine in order to make this dream a reality!

These days, BAW is not just a source of great craft beer, but also a hub for fun community activities like holiday dinners, trivia nights (come challenge our staff team, The Empty Seas!), live music, puppy adoption events, and more!
