Utilizing previous owner Linda Lenberg’s tried-and-true recipe, current Maine Needham Company owners Gerard and Malaika Picard have carefully crafted this Maine staple since 2019. Gerard acts as the confectioner, mixing the potato and coconut filling, covering the filling with a gourmet blend of dark chocolate, and packing the Needhams for sale, while Malaika does the marketing for their treats.
Beginning in Lenberg’s small kitchen in Norway, ME, and growing into the Picards’ basement commercial kitchen, the company continued to expand even further. Today, all Maine Needham Company operations take place in a larger kitchen in Saco, ME, to keep up with demand from dedicated customers and first-time-Needham-triers!
