Red Wines of Maine
Maine winemakers create a wide variety of wines using all manner of ingredients - grapes, blueberries, rhubarb, honey and more! In this class, attendees will enjoy a guided tasting of 5-6 grape-based Maine red wines, comparing and contrasting not only the wines themselves but the grape varietals used. Attendees will also learn about the techniques winemakers use to influence the characteristics of the wine - like "dry," "sweet," "creamy," or "fruity."
This interactive class is held in our brand-new Learning Center and is taught by Lynda Gaines, a WSET Level 3 certified wine enthusiast. The price of your ticket includes a full pour of one of your top-rated wines from the class in the Tasting Room immediately following the class.
