From Orchard to Glass: A Maine Cider & Apple Tasting
It’s apple season in Maine! Attendees will enjoy a guided tasting of seasonal Maine hard ciders led by wine instructor Lynda Gaines, exploring the wide range of styles produced across the state and how apple choice, fermentation, and technique shape flavor, aroma, and balance. From crisp and dry to fruit-forward and aromatic, the cider tasting highlights the many expressions of Maine apples in the glass.
The class will also feature a special apple tasting with Pleasant Pond Orchard, drawn from their exceptionally diverse orchard. Participants will sample heritage and uncommon apple varieties and learn more about them with orchard owner Shane Patrick.
This class is held in our Learning Center and is taught by Lynda Gaines, a WSET Level 3 certified "wine enthusiast". The price of your ticket includes a full pour of one of your top-rated ciders from the class in the Tasting Room immediately following the class.
Due to the nature of this class, all attendees must be ages 21+
